Three
Ways Diane Eble Can Help Your Authors
About
Diane Eble:
Diane has been in publishing in one area
or another since 1978. She is currently a book publishing
coach/consultant who helps people find the best ways to
publish and promote their book or other information product.
Diane is an author herself (11 books and more than 500
articles) who has studied effective online marketing
(including copywriting) for the past four years. She has
hosted several of the new Ask-type VBTs, and she set up her
own recent tour for Abundant Gifts, from which she got 117 signups and sold
124 books in less than a week. Note: she did not have a
large list—less than 600.
Here's
how Diane would like to help your authors promote their
books:
1. Through her ongoing,
free training via articles, blog posts, teleseminars,
etc. Point authors to this site, and her
Your Book Publishing Coach blog, for lots of
free information about writing, publishing, and especially,
marketing books. (Since authors need the most
help with that, I've been concentrating more and more on
cutting-edge, yet proven, strategies for selling books.)
There is a newsletter and teleseminar every
week that features tips, FAQs and resources geared
to helping authors write, publish, and promote their books
successfully. Replays of teleseminars are available;
articles are reprintable.
Feel free to use any of the
material on those sites or in the newsletter for your own
newsletters to authors. Please just make sure you put
Diane's byline and the url of the web page from which you
got the material. Also include this, please: "copyright
Diane Eble, all rights reserved. Visit http://www.wordstoprofit.com and
sign up to receive more free information like this."
Note too that they can ask
questions at any time at Diane's Ask page. When they do, they will be
notified of when their question is answered (either on a
teleseminar, blog, or article). Replays of past teleseminars,
and what was covered, are also available.
2. She can set up an
Ask-type Virtual Book Tour for your
authors. This is a specific kind of campaign
in which an “ask the author” page is set up on a web site,
the author is interviewed by a host who asks the submitted
questions, the book is offered for sale (sometimes with
extra bonuses). People have to sign up and ask a question to
gain access to the live call and/or recording that is made
available afterward.
Once the live event is over, the
author/publisher can continue to promote the Virtual Book
Tour. This is what sets this VBT approach apart from
anything else. This kind of Virtual Book Tour is not a
one-time event, but a perennial marketing system that works
24/7 to promote and sell the book. The author can continue
to promote the Replay page via any number of vehicles.
Diane will be training authors
in the 26 methods of promoting their book in the coming
months. To keep abreast of this for yourself or your
authors, please sign up for the newsletter.
The beauty of this kind of VBT,
from an author’s or publisher's point of view, is that not
only are you selling books–you are able to gather names so
that you can begin a relationship with your readers. In most
other kinds of “virtual book tours,” such as radio
interviews, the author just explains the book, the listener
buys the book (or not), but still there is no way to start
an ongoing relationship with readers. Plus you find out what
your audience wants to know about your topic.

here.
3. She can interview
your authors on book review podcast on the Yaktivate
Podcasting Network. 3.2 million plus listeners
in 70 countries worldwide download podcasts every month from
Yaktivate channels such as Good Politics Radio, Radio for
Christians, Real Relationships Radio, Home Business Success
Radio, Energy of the Spirit Channel, Radio For Your Health,
Boomer Yak, Business Strategy Yak, and many
more. Diane
is the Channel Anchor for the Review channel, and book
review podcasts are among the most popular (averaging
40,000 downloads per month and growing).
Note: Diane is reviewing
whether she will continue this podcast. However, even if she
discontinues it, she will occasionally interview authors and
post podcasts on her Abundant Gifts or Your Book Publishing
Coach blogs, so contact her if you think a book will
fit.
